Matt Beasley

Matt joined FWD in 2014 and has over 15 years experience in senior communications roles in leading FTSE and City organisations.  

He began his career at utilities giant Centrica, undertaking various, increasingly senior and demanding comms roles. He honed his PR, media relations and crisis communications skills in the British Gas press team; one of the busiest and most demanding press offices in the UK.  There he managed multiple media campaigns, annual financial reporting and price change events affecting over half of UK households.

Matt moved into financial services PR in 2011 with the Institute of Financial Services, a registered charity and formerly known as the Chartered Institute of Bankers. Here he achieved sustained and significantly increased positive press coverage as the industry tackled a number of high-profile reputational challenges. 

Before joining FWD, Matt was a key member of the Corporate Communications team at global specialist insurance market Lloyd’s of London. At Lloyd’s he was responsible for day to day media relations, global reactive crisis communications on behalf of the corporation and market members, strategic PR planning and tactical campaign delivery. 

Using his detailed knowledge of the Lloyd’s market and considerable PR experience, Matt leads on a number of FWD accounts, many in the insurance sector.
