Mike joined the world of insurance and reinsurance after beginning his career in marketing and photography. He spent six years with Aviva progressing up the corporate ladder, where his primary focus was insight and research. Mike’s enthusiasm, openness, empathy and clear approach to research, and especially the finding and results of research, made him and his team become a much prised and appreciated part of the organisation.
After heading up the Insight team at Aviva, Mike worked for several other insurers before joining FWD in 2006. Having a unique understanding of the Financial Services industry, Mike believes his key role is to help create positive change for and help support the clients he works with.
Whilst Mike has been at FWD he has worked with numerous insurers, reinsurers, MGAs, governing bodies and syndicates, both in the UK and internationally and it is a sign of his success that he remains the go-to person for the majority of his clients.
Mike believes passionately that research and insight should make a real difference to an organisation. He also believes that, if carried out correctly, research enhances the short and long-term profitability of a company. Working with a huge variety of research disciplines, including quantitative, face-to-face, focus groups, omnibus and online qualitative, Mike continues to support the industry with his skills and enthusiasm.
